This thread is meant for all those interested in translating Indico to Greek. In order to facilitate consultation by other translation teams, I suggest we use English whenever possible. Messages deeply connected to grammar or the meaning of words can be written in Greek, however.
My name is Theodoros Theodoropoulos and I work as a sysadmin at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Library, Greece. I was the translator for Greek Language in CDSware/Invenio 0.x/1.x series and I am willing to give a try at the Greek translation for Indico as well. I’ll hardly manage to translate all the strings in my ‘spare’ time, but at least some progress will be made!
We’d be happy if you’d like to help us translate Indico as well
I don’t think you’re already a member on Transifex? If that’s the case, could you please
go to our project and request to join?
I am indeed a member of Transifex, under the inveniosoftware organization[*] with the same Name (and email:bujam1@yahoo.com) and requested several times to join the indico project (first attempt may have been more than two years ago), but got no approval. I’ll be happy to try again and see if something changes
Best regards,
Theodoros
[*] I’m also in the InvenioRDM translation team (I suppose as a ‘courtesy’ for my previous contribution), although currently I have no active involvement in that new phase of the project.
See:
You’re right, you were one of the old pending requests from back when I used to send a message first before adding people. The problem was that most would not reply (I guess because Transifex notifications are a hit or miss ) so now I just add everyone. And yes I just saw your reply from a few days ago
Anyway, I added you as a translator. We’re very happy to have you!
