Dear all,
What benefits might we expect to derive from integrating Zoom into our Indico platform?
At our institute, we conduct an online workshop series for students via Zoom. Registration for these workshops will be managed via Indico. All participants will receive their Zoom link via email. Our manager will open the workshop via Zoom on a daily basis, appointing one of the lecturers as the host.
I would be grateful if someone could elucidate the procedure for utilising the Zoom plugin on Indico, and whether it offers a more streamlined process.
I am seeking to identify the arguments in favour of installing the Zoom plugin.
The Zoom plugin simply lets you create Zoom meetings via Indico and shows a “Join” button to connect to Zoom on Indico events that have a linked Zoom meeting. It also gives event managers a quick way to make themselves co-host of the Zoom meeting.
There is no integration for zoom’s “participants” feature where everyone gets a personalized Zoom link though.

Thank you for your quick reply!
Sounds good. I will forward your information and see what my colleagues will say about it.
If you get problems in getting the neceassary admin account in zoom, then you could consider the simple vc plugin (GitHub - bpedersen2/indico-plugin-vc-simple: Indico VC plugin to add links to video conference rooms or a redirection url generator. ) as an alternative to just enable a zoom link to either registered users or anyone.
