Using Google Wallet for Tickets

Dear all,

We are currently testing the use of Google Wallet so that our guests can save their tickets there before arrival in the future. This will make it easier for us to scan them with the iPads at check-in.

At the moment, however, it only works if we have an image file of the ticket and then drag this photo into Google Wallet.

As the ticket in Indico is a PDF, each guest would have to take a photo of their ticket and insert it into the Wallet. This is perhaps a little complicated and only a few participants will do this.

Is there another way to get the tickets into the wallet? To be honest, I can’t remember how I got the ticket for UN access into my wallet at the last Indico workshop. It certainly wasn’t complicated. :wink:

Indico already supports Google Wallet integration (it’s actually something the UN contributed) :slight_smile:

Your Indico admin just needs to enable google and/or apple wallet integration in the config

ENABLE_GOOGLE_WALLET = True
ENABLE_APPLE_WALLET = True

Then you can configure the necessary credentials on the category level, and enable it in the event settings.
