tomorrow we will upgrade our old v2 indico server to a new v3.4 one on Kubernetes.
My colleague and I are reviewing the tasks to do and I remember that the old support email we are using in inidco got a lot of spam in the past and the mail will be removed soon because it was used by my old group at MAXIV. We want to use a new support email but as I know the support email will be shown in a mailto link in the contact page ready to be used by the spammers.
Is there an easy way to protect the support email to be spammed?

You will get spam anyway… Any kind of obfuscation is usually easily circumvented (even more so nowadays in the era of Machine Learning), just like CAPTCHAs are sometimes more annoying to real users than they are to computers…
