Regarding sending reminder

Dear Sir,

I have hosted three conferences on indico platform. I have setup in on premise.

I have to send reminder to all authors[ of a particular conference] who have sumitted abstract asking for some common information . Following is what I have followed:

Logged in as event manager of a particular conference and went to work flow→call for abstract → List of abstracts→ Selected all the abstract list→Click author list→select all the author → clicked send mail.

  1. Now my question, is this correct way of sending reminder to author of a abstract from a particular conference? . Or is there any other way.

  2. The from address is selectable and by default event manager email id populates . We have configure norply@domain in indico.conf. this Id is used for all mail generated from this portal, but this not getting populated.

Please provide clarifications about my understanding.

  1. Yes, that’s correct if you want to email the authors of your abstracts
  2. Please look at the docs of the SMTP_ALLOWED_SENDERS setting. Unless you set this to your noreply address, other sends may be allowed based on what’s selected in the event. If you limit it to noreply, then the actual From address will always be noreply (or whatever you set as SMTP_SENDER_FALLBACK).

Thank you for reply.

One more doubt: If three conferences are created .Email notification is going from no-reply@domain and also with text given as title (The global title of this Indico sit) . Is there any mechanism to have differenct title for different conference. In email templates for submission, reject etc I could not find option to change from address. Subject option was present.

Please help?

Is there any option
