Questions about using Indico for webinar registrations, email campaigns, and payments

Hello everyone,

We are evaluating Indico for managing our webinar registrations and would appreciate your guidance on whether it fits our requirements.

We are a U.S.-focused compliance training company serving HR professionals, payroll specialists, accounting professionals, finance teams, and business owners across the United States. Our operations team is based in India, while our customers and training programs are focused entirely on the U.S. market.

We would like to know whether Indico supports the following:

  1. Event registration pages and webinar landing pages.

  2. Built-in email invitations and email campaign functionality.

  3. Importing subscriber lists from CSV or Excel files.

  4. Sending approximately 5,000–10,000 email invitations per day to our own opt-in subscriber database.

  5. Email delivery using Indico’s own email infrastructure (rather than requiring us to configure an external SMTP provider). If not, what is the recommended approach?

  6. Automatic confirmation, reminder, and follow-up emails for registered attendees.

  7. Payment collection for paid webinars.

  8. PayPal support, either natively or through an integration.

  9. Support for U.S.-based customers and payments.

Additionally, we would appreciate clarification on the following:

  • Are there any daily email sending limits?

  • Are there any subscriber or contact limits?

  • Are there any additional costs associated with higher-volume email campaigns?

  • Which pricing plan would you recommend for our use case?

Thank you in advance for your help. We look forward to your recommendations and guidance.

Indico is something you self-host. Hence, any limits would come from your own infrastructure.

And no, we offer absolutely no infrastructure for emailing etc - as expected I’d say since it’s a free open source tool that you install on your own server. We also do not have “pricing plans” for the same reason.

There is a paypal plugin that you can install, which allows you to automate payments. Likewise for Stripe.
