Problem with cancelled registrations

A user reported the following problem at MAXIV:

If a person has registered their participation for an event in INDICO, then cancelled their registration it is impossible for that person to register again. Furthermore, if it is an event for a limited number of participants, their cancelled registration blocks the opportunity for new potential participants to register. The problem can be resolved by deleting the crossed-over name from the participants list. However, this shouldn’t be necessary since it means the creator of the event has to keep an active watch over the registration list.

We are using Indico v2.3.5 and we are planning to upgrade to v3.2
Is this problem fixed in the new version?

We refactored some things so most likely it was indeed fixed. You could use https://sandbox.getindico.io/ to try/confirm this yourself though :wink:
