Possible missing submissions

Hello,

one of our users is concerned that he is missing submissions for an event. He says ‘since the “Call forAbstract” was opened, there was a “jump” in the submitted Abstract ID from #2
to #16 without any abstracts being visible in on the site.’

Is it expected that abstract ID’s may be non-sequential? Is it possible to verify which abstracts have been submitted, either from the web interface, or from the logs or from the database?

Check the “Logs” page of the event. Any abstract submission is logged there.

If there is no log entry check the indico log files on the server to see if the database commit failed for some reason - IDs are immediately “consumed” when they are generated, so if the new abstract is never committed to the database, that same ID won’t be re-used again.
