Missing Room Booking tab

Hi there,

we have recently migrated indico to kubernetes and it was pretty hard work.

Been few months now but only just recently noticed that Room Booking tab is missing. I checked all options in GUI and there is nothing I can do to enable it. Could it be that we need to install a room booking plugin, I do not remember seeing similar plugin listed..
Is there any other way we can enable room booking e.g via integrating microsoft from where we book rooms outside indico. Your help appreciated

No, we do not support external room booking tools and have no plans to do so. Indico is meant to be the source of truth when it comes to room booking.

Apologies I did not check configuration prior to replying. Only just now checked indico.conf file and the following settingENABLE_ROOMBOOKING = True, does exist in file indico. conf but we had a miss config:

ENABLE_ROOMBOOKING = True

ENABLE_ROOMBOOKING = os.environ.get('INDICO_ENABLE_ROOMBOOKING') or False

Resolution:
the room booking module had to be enabled in indico.yml file

  • name: INDICO_ENABLE_ROOMBOOKING
    value: “true”

While deleted ENABLE_ROOMBOOKING = True from indico.conf (config.yml)

You could also just remove the second line - it does not make much sense to configure this via an env var. In fat that second line looks wrong, because 'true' is different than python True which you cannot express with an env var. (likely any true-ish value works, but it’s a bit ugly)
