Criterion: 3.1.2 Language of Parts (AA)
When a document contains passages of text that are not in the same language as the rest of the document, the element must be marked using a lang attribute, unless such text is considered common usage in the document’s language. This aids text-to-speech technology in providing an appropriate rendition for the text.
In the language selection list, we have links that contain text in languages that do not match the document.
I intend to add a lang attribute to all links that matches the language (not locale) of the link text.
