We are a group of Iowa State University students studying Software Architecture and Design. As part of our course, we have adopted your project as a case study to apply the concepts we are learning.
We chose your project for its active, welcoming community and use of a code architecture we are familiar with and happy to gain more substantial experience in. Through our research so far, we’ve learned that the main goal of Indico is to provide an all-in-one event management solution that streamlines event organization. We were particularly impressed by the project’s simplification into core features to avoid overwhelming users while intuitively serving vast functionality. The range of plugins to make it meet any event organizer’s need was also a notable addition.
As part of our course, we explore architectural concepts and how they apply to your codebase. If we identify any opportunities for improvement in the code or documentation, we will reach out to the community forum and discuss potential implementations of the change. We will get more familiar with the domain, and suitable help wanted issues for now. Please let us know if that is the right process.
