Ics URL failed to load

Hi,

I am trying to import the events with the Event Aggregator (the Event Calendar add-on). I got the error message: “There was an error fetching the results from your import: The URL provided failed to load.”

I then want to test the URL with https://icalendar.org/validator.html and got the error: “Error! No data entered. Please enter an iCalendar URL, file, or text.".

The ICS URL is public accessible and it is https://indico.phys.hawaii.edu/category/6/events.ics

Any ideas? Thank you.

If I copy the contents retrieved from your ical URL into the same validator, it works just fine… so the problem must be outside Indico…

What happened if you entered the URL instead of the contents? I wonder if there are somet security stuff with apache. Thank you.

It loads a while and then fails. Indico does not have any kind o captchas, rate limitings or similar for these endpoints - it would not make any sense to have a captcha on an endpoint intended to be consumed by machines.

I will have to double check the apache settings. Any hints to troubleshoot it? Thank you.

You could start by checking the access log file if the access from your tool or the validator has some error or different response size than what you get when loading it manually.
