Atom feeds:should they respect the visibility settings?

Hi,

I noticed that the atom feed at .../category/0/events.atom does include events, that have restricted visibility ( from Category “xxx” which is not the root category).

The question is wether this should be changed ( I would consider the atom feed a rendering of the todays/upcoming events) where these events are not rendered.

Feedback welcome.

Good question. I believe the atom feed actually performs access checks… so not taking Visibility into account is not really a significant issue. OTOH people may prefer not getting events that are not visible to a given category in the feed…

Yes, access checks are performed. Our is use case is feeding the main website and some wall displays (via xibo), so it would be nice to get only the ‘visible’ events there.

Should I try to come up with a pull-request?
