Some organizations we collaborate with, will cover the registration fees for the conference and workshops, as well as the accommodation for some registrants.
What’s the right way to dot it?
Simply have the users register themselves and then forward the registration link w/ the token (which also allows proceeding to payment) to whoever makes the payment.

The organization can have an invoice or should the user send it to them?
I will try it on my test instance to understand it more so I can explain it to them.
I don’t know how you use payment… automated plugin or manual?
For invoices you could use the document generation feature and send an invoice to those who need one.

We use automated plugin. If I understood correctly, the user makes registration > sends link with token to org > org opens the links where it can change the registration details and proceed to payment > the user gets a payment receipt that he needs to send to the org (for accounting service).
Here we won’t be able to have statistics about how many users registrations have been covered by orgs and how many orgs.
If you want such stats, add a field to the registration where the user can specify if they pay for themselves or not…

To add more complexity, I have been told that some orgs will cover accommodations only, for some participants. Maybe two registration forms, one for the conference and workshops and another for the accommodations
I am facing an issue in creating another form for organizations since in the main form workshops have limited seats. If I add another form, the seats taken in the new form won’t be recognised by the main form.
The main form has multiple sections, one for the precongress courses, another for workshops and the last one for accommodation. All of them have limited places.
Some participants will have only precongress courses or workshops covered by their organisations, but will pay the rest.
We already have 60 registrations for the main form. I can’t split the form now.
I have added three other forms for organization registration and it was a big mess.
I think this needs to be handled by a plugin (for next year congress). Participants choose their organization from the main registration form. Organization manager will have a view with the list of their participants only, where he can add items to their registration form.
Organisations manager will be added to a group with this permission.
We have time to get it done for next year.
