Questions about image path - Indico 1.2 to 3.0

Dear colleagues,
Hello, we recently upgraded the Indico version from 1.2 to 3.0. However, after the upgrade, the picture of the new version of Indico cannot be shown. We found that the resulting image path is not quite the same as the image path of the previous version 1.2. How should this be resolved?

I’m not sure what exactly you mean (it’s always good to add explicit examples of the urls in posts like yours), but do you have ROUTE_OLD_URLS = True in your config? This enables redirects for most of the legacy URLs.

PS: You should update to 3.1 as 3.0 is already a bit old as well…

I’m sorry, maybe I didn’t express myself clearly. We recently upgraded the Indico version from 1.2 to 3.0. However, after the upgrade, images of the new version of Indico do not appear, but the documentation can be downloaded as normal. For example, 第十届“科研信息化联盟”会议 (16-18 May 2021): Overview · Indico of IHEP (Indico).

for example, https://indico.ihep.ac.cn/event/16065/

/indico-1.2/archive/
Can Indico1.2 “archive” directory be accurately identified by 3.0?

URLs such as https://indico.ihep.ac.cn/event/16065/picture/11.png will work when you enable ROUTE_OLD_URLS in indico.conf.

Considering that e.g. https://indico.ihep.ac.cn/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=16065 doesn’t redirect, you do not have this option enabled at the moment.

Regarding the legacy archive directory, please read the documentation related to the migration.
The answer is yes: Upgrade Indico from 1.2 — Indico 2.3.6-dev documentation
