Management of local groups?

Dear all,

A question from an end-user:
In the protection tab of an event, I see it is possible to select a group (“local group” I have seen here and there), but I haven’t found any place where to create or manage such a group.

The documentation is void of information on this, except on that page: Managing a Category - Learning Indico where it is mentioned one can [add a group].

I would like very much to create such a group to manage access rights and mails of a subcategory.
Any documentation on this ?

“Local groups” are managed by Indico admins in the admin area. However, if you are not an admin, you can also use “Category roles” which are very similar except that they are tied to a category (but available in all its subcategories as well).
